Italian Chicken Pasta
This flavorful dish delivers restaurant-quality taste in the comfort of your own kitchen. Crispy, golden chicken cutlets rest on a bed of perfectly cooked spaghetti, all coated in a rich, creamy tomato-infused sauce. Ideal for busy weeknights, this one-skillet meal also means easy cleanup.


Ingredients:

For the Chicken & Pasta:

Italian seasoning2 teaspoons

For the Sauce:

Chopped onion1 medium
Minced garlic4 teaspoons
Diced small tomatoes2
All-purpose flour1 tablespoon
Heavy cream1 cup
Grated Parmesan cheese½ cup
Italian seasoning1 teaspoon
Salt½ teaspoon
Crushed red pepper flakes¼ teaspoon

Instructions:

1. Cook the Pasta:
Prepare the spaghetti as directed on the package. Once done, drain and set aside.

2. Prepare and Cook the Chicken:
In a large resealable bag, combine ½ cup of flour, 1 teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon pepper, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning. Add the chicken cutlets and shake until all pieces are evenly coated. Warm the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden and cooked through on both sides. Remove from skillet and keep warm.

3. Make the Sauce:
Lower the heat to medium and melt the butter in the same skillet. Add the onions and cook until tender. Stir in the tomatoes and garlic, sautéing for about 30 seconds. Mix in 1 tablespoon of flour and stir well. Gradually whisk in the heavy cream, then add Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, ½ teaspoon salt, and red pepper flakes. Keep stirring until the sauce thickens.

4. Combine and Serve:
Toss the cooked spaghetti into the sauce until fully coated. Just before serving, return the chicken to the skillet.
