Classic Homemade Crunch Bars

These easy, no-bake bars are a homemade spin on the classic crunchy chocolate candy bar. Crisp rice cereal is coated in a rich, fudgy mixture of melted chocolate, peanut butter, and maple syrup, creating a sweet, crunchy treat that’s both simple and satisfying.

👩‍🍳 Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pan and Cereal
Line an 8×8-inch baking dish (or similar size) with parchment paper.
Add the crispy rice cereal to a large mixing bowl and set aside.

Step 2: Melt the Chocolate Mixture
In a microwave-safe bowl or saucepan, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, maple syrup, and coconut oil.
Heat gently until fully melted, then whisk until smooth and well blended.

Step 3: Mix and Chill
Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal and stir until evenly coated.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, pressing it into an even layer.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.

Step 4: Slice and Serve
Once chilled, lift the mixture out using the parchment paper and cut into bars.

  • Storage: Keep bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
  • Freezing: Wrap individual bars in parchment paper, place in freezer bags, and freeze for up to 6 months.
