Amish Broccoli Salad

This 4-ingredient Amish broccoli salad is a go-to favorite for gatherings, and it never lasts long on the table. It’s creamy, crunchy, and perfect for spring and summer get-togethers. Simplified for convenience, this version keeps the classic flavors of traditional Amish-style salads while being quicker to prepare and a bit lighter overall.

Serve it chilled in a large bowl alongside grilled chicken, burgers, or brats—the cool, creamy texture pairs perfectly with smoky, savory foods. For a complete spread, add deviled eggs, a fresh green salad, and some fruit on the side. It’s also great for meal prep, packed with sliced turkey or leftover chicken for an easy lunch.

4-Ingredient Amish Broccoli Salad

Ingredients

  • 6 cups fresh broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
  • 3/4 cup creamy ranch dressing

Directions

  1. Rinse the broccoli, pat dry, and cut into small florets.
  2. Cook the bacon until crispy, then drain, cool, and crumble.
  3. In a large bowl, combine broccoli, cheddar cheese, and bacon.
  4. Add the ranch dressing, starting with about 1/2 cup and increasing to your preferred level.
  5. Toss gently until everything is evenly coated.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for 30–60 minutes before serving.
  7. Stir again just before serving and garnish if desired.
