One bite in, my husband said, “Whatever this is, don’t lose it.” I printed the recipe immediately

Dump-and-Bake Meatball Casserole
Easy desserts aren’t the only dishes that can be made with a simple “dump-and-bake” method. This Dump-and-Bake Meatball Casserole brings the same convenience to dinnertime, delivering a hearty and flavorful meal with minimal effort.
It’s a family-friendly recipe that’s perfect for busy evenings, meal prep, or stocking the freezer for later. When you’re short on time but still want a homemade meal, this casserole comes together quickly—just combine the ingredients, bake, and serve.
Ingredients
- 1 bag frozen meatballs, thawed
- 1 jar marinara sauce or spaghetti sauce
- 3 cups water
- 1 box bowtie pasta
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
1. Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Combine the Ingredients
Place the thawed meatballs, pasta sauce, water, bowtie pasta, and Italian seasoning into a large baking dish or oven-safe skillet. Stir until everything is evenly mixed.
3. Bake Covered
Cover the dish tightly with a lid or aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes.
4. Add the Cheese Topping
Carefully uncover the casserole and sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the surface. Return it to the oven and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and lightly golden.
5. Rest Before Serving
Remove the casserole from the oven and let it stand for about 10 minutes. This allows the sauce to thicken slightly and makes serving easier.
