Instructions
1. Brown the Beef
Add the ground beef to a skillet over medium heat and cook until no longer pink, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain off any excess grease.
2. Add the Seasoning
Stir in the taco seasoning and prepare according to the package directions. Remove from heat when fully seasoned.
3. Prepare the Creamy Filling
In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese until smooth. Stir in the salsa and mix until evenly combined.
4. Build the Pocket Tacos
- Place a tortilla on a flat surface.
- Add a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture to the center.
- Top with a portion of the seasoned beef.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Fold and roll the tortilla tightly to seal in the filling.
5. Bake
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat a baking sheet or baking dish with cooking spray.
Arrange the filled tortillas seam-side down on the prepared pan. Brush the tops with melted butter.
