This quick and comforting casserole brings all the classic lasagna flavors together by layering frozen ravioli with marinara sauce and plenty of gooey cheese.
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Frozen cheese or beef ravioli (about 24 pieces) | 1 package |
| Marinara sauce (24 oz, your choice) | 1 jar |
| Shredded mozzarella cheese | 2 cups |
| Grated Parmesan cheese | ½ cup |
| Dried basil (optional) | ½ teaspoon |
| Dried oregano (optional) | ½ teaspoon |
| Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional) | As desired |
1. Preheat Oven
Set the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Prepare Baking Dish
Lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
3. Start with Sauce
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce across the bottom of the dish.
4. Layer Ravioli
Place half of the frozen ravioli evenly on top of the sauce.
5. Add Sauce and Cheese
Spoon about one-third of the marinara over the ravioli and sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese.
6. Repeat Layers
Add the remaining ravioli, cover with sauce, and top with the rest of the mozzarella. Finish by sprinkling the grated Parmesan on top.
7. Optional Seasoning
Sprinkle dried basil and oregano over the top if you like extra flavor.
8. Cover and Bake
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes, until the ravioli is cooked and the cheese is fully melted.
9. Brown the Cheese
Remove the foil and bake an additional 5–10 minutes to lightly brown the cheese.
10. Cool and Serve
Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
