Cheeseburger Pockets

Ingredients:

IngredientQuantity
Ground beef1 pound
Small onion, finely diced1
Shredded cheddar cheese1 cup
Refrigerated crescent roll dough1 package (8 oz)
Ketchup2 tablespoons
Mustard1 tablespoon
Worcestershire sauce1 tablespoon
Salt and pepperTo taste
Olive oil1 tablespoon

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to fully preheat while you prepare the filling.

Step 2: Cook the Filling
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 3–4 minutes. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned, around 6–8 minutes. Drain off any excess grease.

Step 3: Add Flavor
Stir in the ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to your liking. Let the mixture simmer for 2–3 more minutes so the flavors can blend. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.

Step 4: Prepare the Dough
Unroll the crescent roll dough on a flat surface and separate it into 8 triangles.

Step 5: Fill the Pockets
Place a spoonful of the beef mixture on the wide end of each triangle. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.

Step 6: Fold and Seal
Carefully fold each triangle over the filling, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the tip. Pinch the edges to seal the pocket completely.

Step 7: Bake
Transfer the filled pockets to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Space them out evenly and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

Step 8: Serve
Let the pockets cool for a few minutes out of the oven, then serve warm. Perfect for dipping in extra ketchup or your favorite burger sauce!
