How To Make 4-Ingredient Chocolate Cherry Dessert Casserole

Step 1: Heat the Oven
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2: Spread the Cherry Layer
Pour the can of cherry pie filling into a 9×13-inch dish and distribute it evenly across the bottom.

Step 3: Add the Cake Mix
Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix evenly over the cherries, making sure the fruit is fully covered.

Step 4: Drizzle with Butter & Add Nuts
Pour the melted butter evenly over the dry mix. If you’re adding nuts, scatter them over the top.

Step 5: Bake Until Bubbly
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is bubbling, the edges turn golden, and the cake portion has set.

Step 6: Serve Warm
