A church potluck classic — only 4 ingredients! I end up making it nearly every week because my friends won’t let it miss a gathering.

This quick and simple casserole turns refrigerated biscuits into a cheesy, savory pull-apart dish — perfect for sharing at potlucks or family dinners.

4-Ingredient Cheesy Pull-Apart Casserole

Ingredients

  • Refrigerated biscuit dough (homestyle or buttermilk) – 2 cans (16 oz)
  • Shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend) – 3 cups
  • Salted butter, melted – 1/2 cup
  • Garlic powder – 1 tbsp

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan
Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.

2. Cut the Biscuits
Separate the biscuits and cut each into 4 pieces with a knife or scissors.

3. Mix Garlic Butter
In a large bowl, combine melted butter and garlic powder. (If using garlic salt, reduce to 2 tsp.)

4. Coat Biscuit Pieces
Toss the biscuit pieces in the garlic butter until fully coated. Hands work best for even coverage.

5. Layer the Casserole
Place half of the coated biscuit pieces in the dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over them. Add the remaining biscuit pieces and top with the rest of the cheese.

6. Bake
Bake for 25–30 minutes until the biscuits are golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly. If the top browns too quickly, tent loosely with foil for the last 5–10 minutes.

7. Rest & Serve
Let the casserole sit for 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm and let everyone pull apart their own cheesy pieces.
