Instructions

1. Brown the Beef:
Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until no pink remains. Season with salt and pepper, then drain off any extra grease.

2. Start the Layers – Potatoes:
Spread the sliced potatoes across the bottom of a baking dish to form the base.

3. Add the Carrots:
Layer the carrot slices over the potatoes.

4. Add the Onions:
Arrange the thin onion slices on top as the third layer.

5. Add the Green Beans:
Scatter the trimmed green beans evenly to create the fourth layer.

6. Finish with the Beef:
Distribute the cooked ground beef across the top as the final layer.

7. Season the Casserole:
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with the thyme and paprika. Drizzle this mixture across the entire dish.

8. Add Broth:
Pour the beef broth around the edges to help keep the casserole moist while it bakes.

9. Bake:
Cover the dish with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are soft and the top turns lightly golden.

10. Garnish:
Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley before serving.
