Smothered Pork Chops with Mushroom Sauce

Instructions:
- Season the Pork Chops: Mix paprika, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, oregano, thyme, and adobo. Coat each pork chop evenly and set aside.
- Prepare the Baking Dish: Butter a 2-quart baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Brown the Chops: Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic, then sear the pork chops until golden on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Mushroom Sauce: Add the remaining butter to the skillet and sauté the sliced onion until soft. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth. Remove from heat.
- Assemble: Layer the sliced potatoes evenly in the prepared dish. Place the browned pork chops on top, then pour the mushroom sauce over everything.
- Bake: Cover and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake another 40 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Serve: Optionally, garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
