Simple & Sweet Cobbler

This dessert truly earns its title! The Easiest Cobbler relies on melted butter and a simple self-rising batter to form a light, golden crust that bakes up around a soft, syrupy peach center.

Ingredients

IngredientAmount
Self-rising flour1 cup
Sugar1 cup
Milk1 cup
Butter, melted8 tablespoons (½ cup)
Vanilla extract1 teaspoon
Peach pie filling1 can
Cinnamon (optional garnish)To taste

Directions

Step 1: Prepare the Baking Dish
Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish and tilt the pan to coat the bottom evenly.

Step 2: Mix the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, milk, and vanilla. Whisk until the mixture is smooth with no lumps.

Step 3: Layer the Ingredients
Carefully pour the batter over the melted butter in the dish. Do not mix. Spoon the peach pie filling evenly over the batter.

Step 4: Bake the Cobbler
Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling around the edges.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
Lightly dust with cinnamon and serve warm. For an extra treat, top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
