Rob Reiner’s daughter makes a chilling statement to police following the death of her father and stepmother at their home.

New Troubling Information Surfaces in the Deaths of Rob Reiner and His Wife

Additional unsettling information has emerged following the deaths of acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, who were found deceased at their Brentwood, Los Angeles home over the weekend.

Reports state that the couple was discovered on Sunday, December 14, inside their residence. Law enforcement sources allegedly described the scene as a “horror double murder,” noting injuries believed to be consistent with stab wounds. The bodies were reportedly found by their daughter, Romy.

According to TMZ, investigators are exploring the possibility that the couple may have been killed by a family member after an intense argument. While the nature of the dispute remains unclear, Romy allegedly told police that a relative was responsible. Their son, Nick, is reportedly being questioned as part of the ongoing investigation.

TMZ further claims that Romy made a disturbing remark to officers, allegedly stating that the family member “should be a suspect” and warning that the individual was “dangerous.” Separately, an unnamed source told the Los Angeles Times that there were no signs of forced entry and that the injuries appeared consistent with knife wounds.

Speaking at a press briefing, LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton emphasized that the case is still in its preliminary phase. Investigators are in the process of securing a search warrant to conduct a more detailed examination of the home.

“At this time, the Los Angeles Police Department is not identifying any suspects or persons of interest,” Hamilton said. “That determination will be made as the investigation moves forward.” He added that multiple family members would be interviewed, stressing that “no one has been detained, and no one is currently being questioned as a suspect.”

Rob Reiner, 78, and Michele Singer Reiner, 68, had been married since 1989 and lived in a gated Brentwood community decorated for the holiday season. The son of legendary comedian Carl Reiner, Rob began his career as a comedy writer in the 1960s before gaining fame as Michael “Meathead” Stivic on All in the Family, earning two Primetime Emmy Awards. He later directed several iconic films, including This Is Spinal Tap, Stand By Me, The Princess Bride, and When Harry Met Sally.

The couple shared three children—Jake, Nick, and Romy. Rob also had a daughter, Tracy, from a previous marriage. Tracy was the first of his children to speak publicly after the news broke, telling NBC News that she was overwhelmed by the loss.

“I came from the greatest family ever,” she said. “I don’t know what to say. I’m in shock.”
