These irresistible appetizers deliver the perfect combo of sweet, smoky, and crispy. Frozen tater tots are wrapped in bacon, coated in a brown sugar–chili powder blend, and baked to crunchy perfection.
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Frozen tater tots | 24 |
| Bacon slices, cut in half | 12 |
| Brown sugar | 1/4 cup |
| Chili powder | 1 teaspoon |
| Toothpicks | As needed |
Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top to help the bacon crisp evenly.
In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar and chili powder.
Take each frozen tater tot and wrap it with a half slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick to hold everything in place.
Roll each bacon-wrapped tot in the brown sugar mixture until well coated, then place them on the wire rack. Continue until all the tots are prepped.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the bacon is nicely crisp and the tots are golden brown.
Let them cool for a minute or two, then enjoy while warm and crispy.
