Mashed Potatoes with Savory Ground Beef Gravy
Ingredients
Mashed Potatoes:
- Potatoes – 2 lb, peeled and quartered
- Milk – 1 1/2 cups
- Butter – 1/4 cup
- Salt and pepper – to taste
Ground Beef Gravy:
- Ground beef – 1 lb
- Onion – 1 medium, chopped
- Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
- All-purpose flour – 2 tbsp
- Beef broth – 1/4 cup
- Curry powder – 1/2 tsp (optional)
- Salt and pepper – to taste
- Frozen peas and carrots – 1 cup (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the potatoes: Boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with milk, butter, salt, and pepper until smooth. Set aside.
- Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat. Add onions and garlic and cook until softened.
