  • 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, juice included
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Icing

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the eggs and the pineapple (with its juice) and mix until fully combined.
  3. Spread the batter into the prepared pan. Evenly sprinkle the pecans and brown sugar on top.
  4. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
