Creamy Chipped Beef Cheese Ball

This timeless savory appetizer is always a crowd favorite, blending the salty richness of dried beef with smooth, creamy cheese and the bright bite of fresh green onions.

Creamed Chipped Beef Cheese Ball

Ingredients

  • Cream cheese, softened – 2 packages (8 oz each)
  • Chipped dried beef, finely chopped – 1 package (8 oz)
  • Worcestershire sauce – 1½ teaspoons
  • Garlic powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Onion powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Green onions, finely chopped – 3 stalks (plus more for garnish)
  • Ritz crackers – for serving
  • Salt – to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Base
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped dried beef, and green onions. Stir well using a wooden spoon or hand mixer until evenly blended.

Step 2: Add Seasonings
Mix in the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Taste the mixture before adding salt, as the dried beef already provides plenty of seasoning. Adjust if necessary.

Step 3: Form the Cheese Ball
Spoon the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap. Wrap it tightly and shape it into a round ball using your hands.

Step 4: Chill
Place in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes, or until firm.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve
Remove the plastic wrap and transfer the cheese ball to a serving platter. Garnish with additional chopped green onions if desired and serve with Ritz crackers.
