Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Warm your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 2: Mix the Creamy Base
In a large bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is smooth and well blended.
Step 3: Add the Chicken and Veggies
Fold in the cooked chicken, frozen mixed vegetables, and cheddar cheese, mixing until evenly combined.
Step 4: Assemble the Casserole
Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish, smoothing it out into an even layer.
Step 5: Prepare the Crunchy Topping
In a separate bowl, toss the crushed cornflakes (or fried onions) with the melted butter until coated.
Step 6: Bake
Sprinkle the topping over the casserole and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the filling is hot and bubbly.
Step 7: Serve
Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy the warm, creamy, crunchy goodness!
