Cherry Cream Cheese Loaf

Cherry Cream Cheese Loaf

Soft, buttery, and packed with juicy summer cherries—this loaf is indulgence in every bite.

If you’ve been with us for a while, you already know how much we adore our cream cheese loaf cake. It’s rich, tender, and almost too easy to fall in love with. But this summer, we realized it needed a fruity upgrade—and with cherries in full swing, it was the perfect match.

Whether it’s part of your brunch spread, a midday pick-me-up, or a sweet ending to dinner, this cherry-studded loaf won’t last long on the table.

🧾 Ingredients

IngredientAmount
Fresh cherries1½ cups, pitted and quartered
Cream cheese1 (8 oz) block, softened
Butter½ cup (room temp)
Granulated sugar1½ cups
Eggs2
Vanilla extract2 teaspoons
Almond extract½ teaspoon
All-purpose flour2¼ cups
Salt1½ teaspoons
Baking powder1 tablespoon
Milk1 cup

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat & Prep
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease two 8.5″ x 4.5″ loaf pans and set them aside.

2. Prep the Cherries
Pit the cherries and cut them into quarters. Set aside for later.

3. Cream the Wet Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until creamy and smooth.
Add in sugar, eggs, vanilla, and almond extract. Mix until light and fluffy.

4. Combine the Dry Mix
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

5. Mix the Batter
Gradually alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk into the wet mixture, stirring until just blended.

6. Fold in the Cherries
Gently mix the chopped cherries into the batter, making sure they’re evenly distributed.

7. Bake
Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared loaf pans.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Tip: Loosely cover with foil after 35–40 minutes to prevent the top from getting too dark.

8. Cool & Enjoy
Allow the loaves to cool completely before slicing. Serve on its own or dust with powdered sugar for a finishing touch.
