These hearty handheld bites are filled with seasoned ground beef and gooey cheddar cheese, all wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough for a playful take on the classic cheeseburger.

Cheeseburger Pockets

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (8 oz) package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

Step 1: Heat Oven and Skillet
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2: Cook the Filling
Add the chopped onion and cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened. Add the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks, and sauté for 6–8 minutes until browned and fully cooked. Drain off any excess grease.

Step 3: Add Seasonings
Mix in the ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper, then cook for another 2–3 minutes to fully combine the flavors. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Step 4: Assemble
Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Spoon the beef mixture onto the wider end of each piece and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 5: Seal and Bake
Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges firmly to seal. Arrange the pockets on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Step 6: Cool and Serve
Let the pockets cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
