This recipe delivers a generous portion of rich, savory meat sauce—perfect for potlucks, family gatherings, or any time you’re feeding a hungry group. Slow-cooked to bring out deep, comforting flavors, this spaghetti is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients:

IngredientAmount
Ground beef2 pounds
Onion, chopped1 large
Garlic, minced4 cloves
Crushed tomatoes2 cans (28 oz each)
Tomato sauce1 can (15 oz)
Tomato paste1 can (6 oz)
Red wine (optional)½ cup
Sugar1 tablespoon
Dried basil2 teaspoons
Dried oregano2 teaspoons
Dried parsley1 teaspoon
Crushed red pepper flakes½ teaspoon
Salt and pepperTo taste
Spaghetti1 pound

Instructions:

Step 1: Sauté the Beef and Aromatics
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain off any excess fat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; cook until the onion becomes soft and translucent.

Step 2: Build the Sauce in the Slow Cooker
Transfer the beef mixture into your slow cooker. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, red wine (if using), sugar, basil, oregano, parsley, red pepper flakes, and season with salt and pepper.

Step 3: Let It Simmer
Stir well to combine all ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours, allowing the flavors to fully develop.

Step 4: Cook the Pasta
About 30 minutes before serving, cook the spaghetti in a separate pot according to the package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta and gently fold it into the sauce in the slow cooker, stirring to coat evenly.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
Let the pasta sit in the slow cooker for an additional 10 minutes so it can soak up the sauce. Serve hot and enjoy!
