Directions
1. Make the Apple Filling
- Peel, core, and finely dice the apples.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the apples with the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and flour until they’re well coated.
2. Assemble the Egg Rolls
- Place an egg roll wrapper on your work surface in a diamond shape.
- Spoon a generous portion of the apple mixture into the center, being careful not to overfill.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling and tuck it slightly underneath.
- Fold in the left and right corners to enclose the mixture.
- Roll upward tightly, sealing the final edge with a dab of water.
3. Fry Until Crispy
- Heat oil in a skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Gently lower the prepared egg rolls into the hot oil, making sure not to crowd the pan.
- Fry for 2–3 minutes, turning occasionally, until they’re evenly golden and crisp.
4. Serve
- Remove the egg rolls and set them on paper towels to drain the excess oil.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve while warm.
- For an extra treat, pair them with vanilla ice cream or your favorite dipping sauce.
