Muffuletta Sliders
These sliders bring all the bold, savory flavors of the iconic New Orleans muffuletta sandwich into a fun, bite-sized version. Packed with layers of Italian meats, melted cheeses, and tangy olive salad on soft Hawaiian rolls, they’re perfect for parties, game days, or an easy dinner.
Ingredients:
Ingredient | Quantity |
---|---|
Hawaiian rolls | 1 (12 oz) package |
Mozzarella slices | 6 slices |
Soppressata | 6 slices |
Mortadella | 6 large slices |
Capicola | 6 slices |
Provolone cheese slices | 6 slices |
Olive salad (store-bought or homemade) | 1 cup |
Olive oil | For brushing |
Sesame seeds | 2 teaspoons |
Instructions:
1. Prepare Oven and Rolls:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or oil. With a serrated knife, slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping the rolls intact.
2. Build the Sliders:
Place the bottom half of the rolls in the baking dish. Layer the mozzarella, soppressata, mortadella, capicola, and provolone evenly across the rolls.
3. Add Olive Salad and Top:
Spread the olive salad evenly over the top layer of cheese. Place the top half of the rolls over the layered fillings.
4. Bake:
Bake for 8 minutes. Remove the dish from the oven, brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Return to the oven and bake for another 4 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the cheese is fully melted.
5. Serve and Enjoy:
Serve hot and fresh—perfect for sharing!
